Cipher

Sometimes I wander
inside wonders,
walking upon this path
that is full of twist and turns
leading to nowhere..

along with all these
questions and doubts
that seem to jump inside my head
like a school of dolphins upon oceans..

attacking my emotions,
biting and pinching them
filling me with disbelief..

and I find,
that unlike my poetry..
I am a cipher,
for I do not carry warmth
nor enclose desire to
comfort hearts.

that although
my words always seem
to hold sincerity and strength
I myself am obnoxious
and mischievous...

I admit it,
besides verses
and fancy quotations
there is nothing to me..

I'm like a heartless bird
that roams around blue skies,
beautifully detached from everything
beneath me.

    Sometimes we find ourselves doubting all we are and what we stand for, and most often that happens when we go through changes, brought about by events that shock us to the core. It is hard to be kind when life comes down on you hard, when you feel you have been dealt a bad hand....and maybe you will even start to think you are a bad person yourself.

    Don't worry, it will pass and you will be stronger than you were..and so it will be every time, every tear leaves you stronger eventually, until one day, you will look at yourself with compassion and know you are just human, like we all are:)

    A very honest write, I have been there too!

    This is very sad, a great piece and definitely from your heart, it sounds like you just poured your heart out, over here!

    I loved the title, and I was in love with your closing stanza, it was breath taking, your opening is very soft and it did make me feel interested.
