- Not exactly a poem, just a throw together of the past/ how I've felt-
I thought we had it all,
we were so perfect for each other,
we could finish each others sentences,
make one another smile regardless,
but i guess we weren't meant to be,
i thought you were the one,
when in reality,
you were the one to teach me a lesson about love</3.
You taught me,
love is amazing,
its the most beautiful thing on earth,
but it sure hurts like hell.
You made me realize,
compromise is needed in a relationship,
fighting all the time is a sign you're not gonna last,
when more tears are shed then smiles,
there's a red flag,
you opened my eyes to what a relationship should be about.
I gave you my heart,
you were my first love,
my one and only,
the only person I've let into my heart,
and you did me wrong,
broke my heart,
but now i thank you for that.
I thought we had it all,
i never knew i could fall so hard,
i never realized somebody could be so cruel,
you taught me love is special,
but don't keep your guard down,
heartbreak hurts more then anything.
I loved you then,
I'll love you now,
not the same way,
but you'll always have a place in my heart,
forever my first love</3.
