Memories

Memories,
flowing through my brain non stop,
one after another,
party weekend,
spending the night together for the first time,
saying i love you,
everything running through my mind.

All it took,
was looking at our old pictures,
i can't seem to erase the ones on my photobucket,
holding onto the memories,
wanting to have a piece of you left,
but not wanting you at all anymore.

You hurt me,
broke my heart,
got my hopes up then re shattered me,
& still your pictures make me cry,
makes the memories hit me hard,
why can't they just disappear,
like I never even met you.

Months since we broke up,
I'm slowly getting over you,
refusing to cry over you,
but the pictures i couldn't control,
everything came rushing back,
but i won't let it get the best of me,
I'm moving on,
leaving you behind me.

    This is amazing, excellent job. I love how much emotion has been inserted. There is a point/message that is clear. Your beginning is okay, but it really isn't that strong. Your ending is okay, but it isn't much better then just saying the end in the middle of a book. There is part of a flow, but not much of one. Your word choice is fantastic.

    ^^ Is my favorite stanza, because it shows just how much you long for the person.
