Soldier

You're going off to war,
to fight for freedom,
a brave soldier of the USA Army,
risking your life for your country,
please come back safe soon.

I've known you since our junior year,
we've been closer then ever since,
always falling for each other,
every time we talk,
you make me smile like no other,
hearing your voice gives me butterflies.

Thousand of miles away,
skyping whenever we can,
phone calls here & there,
i never want them to end,
i miss you so much,
you're my proud soldier in the army.

You're going off to war,
I don't want you to go,
please come back safe,
I don't want to lose you,
to the hell of war,
i keep you in my prayers,
you have found yourself a permanent place in my heart,
all i ask is to come back soon.

This is about my friend who is in the army shortly going off to war && I want nothing more then him to come back home safe<3

    This is sweet, there is a tiny bit of a flow, there is okay word choice though to accomany the emotion it could be stronger. There is a ton of emotion and with the word choice and lack of description, imagery, or story it is a bit over powering. I really can't say that I like this piece, though I can't say that I don't either. Overall this piece, to me, is a stepping stone to greater and better works. I know you are very talented and kind at that, so I know with all of my heart that you can do a lot better then this. Though this deffinatly would make your friend feel loved.
