How I feel...

by Joshua   Sep 8, 2011

What I do and how I feel
Almost like a banana is peeled
Pulling back the layers
Just thinking of the flavor
Knowing how it's going to taste
You don't think of letting it go to waste
Times I know seem so strange
But all in all things will change
I love you more than anything
There's just some things I have to say
Loving you as much as I do
I don't mean to cause the hurt I put you through
This night I sit at the park
Thinking of ways to be smart
With us moving forward
There's nothing like my eyes toward you
You're the most important love
Something I'll never take advantage of
Nights like this thinking about us
I'll never forget how much I'm in the plus
Words can't express how I feel about you
Neither can these words in this poem do
Things might seem bad
But the moments like these make me glad
I can't stop thinking of our future together
Neither will I ever, I want you forever
It takes a while to write these
Sitting here with a warm breeze
I've seen the text that keep coming through
But know I'm here thinking of you
There's nothing like how I feel
Just please know that this is all real

I think that this poem flows quite well and the rhymes make it flow even better. I like the context and I think you worded it quite nice. The simplicity of your words underline the message quite well, that the speaker simply loves the person this is directed to. It's definitely a heartfelt poem, well done.
