Savior

by Jack Nightengale   Oct 12, 2011

Will you allow someone to pull you out of the darkness?
Will you allow someone to be the ray of light to the dungeon you've been put in?
Will you allow someone to break the chains that bind you to this dark chamber?
Will you allow me to be your Savior?

Let me free you from the hell that you're in.
Let me guide you away from the darkness.
Let me be the sun that warms you, comforts you, free you.
Let me be your Savior

Not all of my poems have things to do with the military. To know the meaning behind this poem one must open their imagination more than what it already is. It originally was a poem where two people were talking. However I shortened it and used one side of the conversation. I really appreciate your feedback. Thank you for your comment.
