Its Always On A Thursday

by RainbowSlider   Nov 16, 2011

A family affair with all the kids near.
Coming home what time is not clear.
Preparation has taken days to shop.
Garden vegetables sister will chop.

Another sister is pouring fresh tea.
Brother is out throwing a frisbee.
Another is watching football on tv.
One brother is writing dumb poetry.

Wonder if all this his sister knows.
Other sister wonders if she shows.
Mother and last sister always there.
Trying to keep the kids out of hair.

We are all there if just in thought.
With all the grandkids we brought.
Knowing mom's birthday is close.
Wonder if mom would like a rose.

Will this be the year we all show.
To see how much grandkids grow.
Or will it be like holidays of past.
Those excuses that always last.
