Old Loves

Old loves coming back,
asking for your forgiveness,
to give this another chance,
wipe the slate clean,
lets put the past behind us please.

Debating what is right,
can you go back to someone
who walked away giving up?
can you trust someone who hurt you?
do they really deserve a second chance?
can this love really go on?

Reminiscing about the past,
telling each other i love you,
making promises to each other,
being there no matter what,
remembering the happiness you felt
deep down in your soul.

The pain they caused you hitting hard,
going back to all the tears you shed,
the heartbreak you felt,
thinking to yourself, Is he worth it?
knowing this shouldn't bother you,
you should laugh saying good for you,
not thinking about him once again.

Old loves coming back,

    I loved this piece!

    I have read a few of your poems now and they really get me thinking about love and the choices we make. You really know how to keep the readers attention and speak not just to their hearts but their minds too.

    You are a really good poet if these last few poems are anything to go by and I think this poem here is a really deaserving piece.

    I can relate to your poem. I think we all can. Sometimes i think back to what used to be.. but they are ex-boyfriend or girlfriends for a reason. Nice job, 5/5
