Whispering To The Shores

by xoxShorteexox   Dec 11, 2011

Sitting on the rocky banks of the shore,
watching the lighthouse's light spin,
soaked to the bone from the falling rain,
hoping my thoughts will drown in the sea.

Listening to the waves crashing on the rocky edge,
staring into the distance; wishing to see his face,
appearing at this spot wasn't my best idea,
but this is the last place they were together.

Looking over at the rocky edge to my right,
where they climbed up to the top of for fun,
winner has to give the loser a loving kiss,
it seems silly, but it made sense back then.

Watching the waves pull out from the shore,
rain pouring down my rosy cheeks; so cold,
breathing slowly waiting for my mind to clear,
wiping my face and whispering "goodbye."

-This shows how much it pains you to say goodbye to the person you love. To be in your guys spot not being there with him.

This has beautiful visual. You can see it all in your head as if you were there. Being together with him, then it transforming as in you not.

What pain memories can bring, even the sweetest are heartbreaking in the right circumstance. Another touching poem with traces of the bittersweet
