Back In Your Arms- Kinda Long -

by believeinlove87   Dec 16, 2011

Regret of a lifetime,
watching her stroll pass you,
holding hands tightly with her new boyfriend,
laughing and smiling, happier then before,
feeling the pain as you remembered you let her go.

Reminiscing about the old memories with her,
the late night phone calls, sneaking out of the house
for a midnight kiss, telling her shes the only girl for you,
surprising her with a dozen red roses, a heart necklace,
running your fingers down her face; kissing her so gently.

Taking random road trips to that beautiful old beach house,
splashing water on her, as she screams running away,
picking her up in your arms, drawing your initials on the beach,
watching the colorful sunset together wrapped in a blanket,
remembering every single memory you had with her.

A single tear rolls down the side of your face,
every ounce of pain hitting you like a brick wall,
calling her name, you stand up; seeing her stop in her tracks,
slowly turning around, she lights up as her eyes meet yours,
letting go of her boyfriends hand, she runs into your arms.

Its you... is all she can whisper out, mouth dropped she touches your face, tears releasing out her gorgeous blue eyes,
pulling her into your embrace, grabbing her head you say " I'm Sorry..."
smiling that shes back in your arms, you refuse to let go telling her " I need you back.."

Looking back at her boyfriend, she mouths " Its always been him,"
turning back around, locking eyes, such a powerful connection,
starting to shake, never expecting this moment again,
feeling all the old emotions rushing back, she hugs him harder saying "You have no idea how much I've missed you."

Deciding to give love a second chance,
seeing her on this random day,
a sign from fate; always meant to be them,
they promise each other
"We won't lose you again."

-Might Fix it-
