Prelude

by Bobbie   Jan 5, 2012

In vain I thought what to do the day he would arrive
After so many dormant months of sabbatical survive
Surely not react too promising on a vague inviting move
There at the door, oh god, face shouldn't tell the truth
Yet in advance I knew my heart would beat too loud
And feeling his initial hug would kill my slightest doubt
To embrace that unknown body so inexplicably missed
Possible surrender at the first moment of being kissed

You should relax, think of icebergs and take a deep breath
An unintentional wrong move could mean a sudden death
Get some snacks and think of stories he hasn't yet heard
Keep talking, keep smiling and try to stay alert

We might go out into the vivid town to a quiet fine bistro
And talk and laugh about sweet memories of the times ago
Or we might just hit the couch chatting or watching the TV
After an intimate homemade dinner served for him and me
Looking at him unnoticed on what feelings now to show
Sensing in his darkened eyes the fire burning down below
Should I stop these rising waves growing in the name of lust
What if I would misinterpret those signals of candid trust

You should relax, think of icebergs and take a deep breath
An unintentional wrong move could mean a sudden death
Get more wine and be sure nothing will be called absurd
Keep talking, keep smiling and try to stay alert

Discreet I would watch the clock so many times that night
Choose some romantic music, dimming most of the light
My whirling head would burst creating a spider's web
Him as my prey captured and preparing for the next step
Satin sheets and soft pillows, a sexy string ready to show
Just waiting for that one blazing moment for Cupid to go
Body and soul screaming to make the magma flood
The tension of wild desire rushing through our blood

You should relax, think of icebergs and take a deep breath
An unintentional wrong move could mean a sudden death
Get closer for soon he will be transformed into a lovebird
Keep talking, keep smiling and try to stay alert
