Walking by faith

I'm blind sighted
with troubles all around

I'm losing myself
losing all control

I surrender,
I lay it all down
and I give my all

Open my heart
open my eyes
to your grace and glory

Lord give me strength
give me faith, belief
to what's right
and lead the way

Help me
through thee oceans
through the storms
and trials of life

Each side
is testing me-
searching my strengths
finding my weakness

One side, to build me
thee other to destroy
and tear me down

One to give life
One to kill

It's all decided
with the decisions I make

It's a battle
and we all lay
in-between

So I only ask
for what I need
so open my heart
open my eyes
to your grace and
glory, let it arise

And please help me
each day at a time

    What I love about this poem is that it really to me reads like a beautiful prayer.

    It takes a lot of courage to ask for help when we need it. Especially when we feel we're going down the wrong path in life.

    Lord give me strength
    give me faith, belief
    to what's right
    and lead the way

    I think this part is amazing. It really shows your vulnerability in life and how you need guidance. I love the fact that you are so open about it and really exposes parts of you that we're learning about.

    It is so lovely to see poems about faith no matter what religion. Always nice to see what people believe in.

    This was such a strong piece that I feel like anyone could pick up at any point of their life- and it would be encouragement. I love so much how you wrote about a lot of barriers in our lives that bring us down- the weight of making choices especially. There's so many pieces to this opem I can't say are my favorite, because in each line you have a wise heart and a searching soul for Christ- it's truly beautiful and a great way to reflect. When we give Him our all, surrender to Him, He will help us to take a new breath each day, give us a renewed life. Hope. Faith. Well thought out and extremely true, we need our Lord through it all, He will help us through EVERYTHING :)
