Butter

The pup of Peanut, Butter is her name.
I did not raise her, she loves me the same.
It has been long since I lost my best pet.
I am healing, but not over Littleman yet,
Some friends are just not easy to forget,
but Butter and I bonded the first time we met.
She shivers and pants at the same time.
Sometimes it's hard to see her reason or rhyme.
She is smart as a whip, though sly as a cat.
It will take a while to get used to that.
I'm sure she wiill be loyal to the end,
because her kind is mans best friend.

    A tiny suggestion to continue the flow:
    "She shivers and pants at the same time."
    Could be like:
    "She shivers and pants somehow at the same time."

    And
    "I'm sure she wiill be loyal to the end,"
    ^^
    Take off the double "ii"

    Firstly Dogs are my absolute favorite animals

    This poem was so lovely and it made me smile and think of my own dog

    I love this - I assume you adopted a pup while they were older. It is so true though they love you unconditionally.

    I could have sworn you were writing this poem about my dog. She shivers when she's scared and piddles when she meets someone new
