Masks of Black

by Jack Nightengale   Jan 24, 2012

During the time of midnight,
There's a shift in the air.
A bone chilling chill,
That tells you to beware.

There are those who believe,
That the ones above are cursed.
But the ones under,
Are by far the worst.

What they want is unknown,
Because they always come back.
These spectrums of darkness,
Monsters wearing Mask of Black.

I thought this to be an interesting poem. nice flow with the rhyming done here. and your imagery was really neat. i could see what you mean with all the demons tricking us to believe that the angels and god are the evil ones when they themselves are. how they have that veil over their eyes yet they appear as wolves in sheeps clothing. nice write. :)

Ahh Kris I love this, It's dark and scary and I love the rhyming too. . . . its so mysterious too, but mosters are such. . . you know what what they're creeping for, you dont know what they're searching for, don't know what they exist for. . middle stanza fit nicely. . . the mention of both above and down.. nicely done :)
