Water

by William J   Jan 27, 2012

From the bottom looking up,
the ripples of souls,
the confusion and contradiction,
the splash and swirls
of a million lights that dance
and disperse
and echo
into a visual choir.
The essence of existence
and being
condensed into a flow
between the banks
and as a stream,
an eternal liquid
above and below

A creative write that is very open to interpretation from a poet I'm not that familiar with. The piece flows beautifully from beginning to end. It gives the reader a gist that echo's of what's within, and for me that was just enough. I'm not into long winded critiques dissecting and interpreting this and that, and with this poem that's not necessary, I just like it, well done

Your poem was simple and creative. I felt this was a powerful write with a lot said in few words. Excellent read.

Thank-you both for positive feedback :)
I'm open to people giving their thoughts and ideas on what my poetry means, it's why I write them :) I believe it should be 'ripples' as I'm describing more than one ripple, not 100% sure though!

    That is a 5/5

nice poem, I thought I just teleported into the underwater, but great meaning, the essence of existence, I think lies in ourselves.
