If Time Could Be Reversed

If time could be reversed,
I'd go back to the moment of our first kiss,
Remembering so vividly; The way the butterflies
fluttered around in heart like shapes in my stomach,
Pressing my fingertips against your lips after,
feeling the electricity circulate through out my body.

If there was a creation as the time machine,
I'd go back to the moment laying by the icy blue
river that runs past your moms house, Laying together on the rocks hands intertwined looking into each others eyes as you promise you'll never hurt me; Trailing your hand from my chin to my heart saying I'm yours forever and always.

I remember the night you asked me to be yours, kneeling down on one knee; You took my hand reciting my entire name, smile across your handsome face asking the question as I say yes. Waiting everyday for you to get off work, The moment I see you I
jump into your arms. Spinning me around in circles you say your amazing baby girl.

If time could be reversed,
I'd go back to the moment I took you home to meet my family, where we carved our initials into our wrists, a forever kinda thing, Always waking up with you right by my side, kissing you good morning.

But the thing is..

left with only memories of what was and what isn't now.
