Nakedness existed before the body

by DarkLight   Feb 22, 2012

Life is a necessary precaution like the shadow for the tree.
But there's something excessive,
as though life were to dodge its own leap or the shadow throw itself backward and not forward.

Nakedness existed before the body.
And at times the body remembers it.

The title drew me in... so philosophical, it felt. And it's like music to my ears.... brilliantly penned.

Life is a necessary precaution like the shadow for the tree.

I'm trying to grasp the significance of this line.
I don't think that by shadow you are referring to the shadow of the tree rather about when the sun is out. It's a precaution so it doesn't dehydrate?

Or the shadow is there to tell
The tree that time is moving on?
Would you care to explain? :)

So our life is a precaution to remember us that we are alive
And that we are an awesome creation yet so harmful?

    Nakedness existed before the body.
And at times the body remembers it.

--- I agree with this part.
    But the upper is tricky.
