My Oasis

I'm just sitting here
Dipping my feet into the lake
Letting all of my fear
Wash away into the crystal water.

I'm here looking at the sky up high
Watching the birds peacefully flutter
Their wings, calling out their cry
It soothes me in the calmness.

Finally I am at peace
Just sitting here in a place
where all worries seem to cease.
