Lotus Flower

by yogi73   Mar 17, 2012

What you have spoken in my mind
Clearly I've seen before the earth was fives.
Cast from the mud to live and thrive,
Beneath the lotus flower there lie I.

Pretty flower exuding grace
Our fragrance I want as sweet.
What grows and changes always is one,
The seed, the sprout, the stem, the bloom,
All is lotus. All is change, all is none.

I should have loved you. I should have
changed you. But only gazing above
beauty did I. Atman is sacrifice to deny.
Suffer not the desires of love.

But, foolish, flower I follow thee.
Water touches not the delicate petals
And touch not I. My heart is joyous
And content and settles.
