I have written several poems about bigotry as an attempt to show the ugliness of bigotry
A five-year-old black girl stands outside a public park watching her friends as they play
Her mouth begins to quiver and her eyes begin to tear
She cannot read the sign but somehow knows what is has to say
Ain't no coloreds or niggers allowed in here
