The Shadows of my troubles darken my life
From my troubled children to my troubled wife
Each day my job takes me on a journey that never seems to end
Never enough money and backstabbing friends
I seek a love I can't seem to find
The unselfish, unconditional kind
Now if like me you feel overwhelmed and about to give up the fight
Remember darkness is never permanent; shadows change with the light
I hope one day these shadows will pass over and the light will shine through
