Trapped in a Tear

it's on days like this
when I'm missing you most
sunny with a brisk breeze
two beautiful tots
dressed up all fancy
off to nanny and papa's
to hunt for treasure
buried by the "bunny"
digging through colorful baskets
filled with chocolatilious treats

two grown adults now
making your own way
in this big ole world
creating bittersweet memories
to be trapped in a tear
many years later
while putting thoughts to paper

Written on Easter and Dedicated to the most precious treasures of my life, my two beautiful children, Joseph and Jennifer... I love you both with all my heart!!

    Trapped in a tear....that is an incredible title. Im jealous I didnt think of writing a poem about it. So often we write about tears, but never talk about whats inside them, whats causing them is whats truly trapped inside them.

    This was a beautiful poem Angie, so many years flyyyyyy and before you know it kids are grown. I hate it!!

    So glad to see you writing again I missed it so much!
