Oblivious

by CathyButterflyJC   Apr 16, 2012

You're so absorbed in you
And everything she does too
I'm so cautious
Wonder why losing you was so oblivious
It hurts me to watch
What we had turn cold
And frost
Sad stories are getting old
I don't like how this will unfold
My heart was sold
Does she pick you up
Like I've always felt for you
Happiness and true
Was it me
Running away from you
Did we both miss what we could be
I made a mess of everything
Did I miss the door
Left as a mess on the floor
You hurt me to the core
What will you do
When she makes you sore
Will you want to renew
What I was looking for
What I discovered
The light in you
I guess you were never my lover
You pushed me to shadows
Now you hold her tighter
My heart felt the lighter
Past won't renew
A love you don't like true
I've always been a fool
For you
Even when you think you're cool
But really you don't got a clue
I've always wondered
What would I do without you
But my hearts been wandering
For a love that's true
And some heart healers
For the pain peelers

This poem is amazing as well. I love how you put your full emotion and passion inside each one of your poems. The title is perfect from what your wrote.

Sometimes love is oblivious to what they cant see in front of them, its true love. I love the line 'what we had turned to cold and frost' because the more hurt you feel the more it feels cold and painful.

One lone I would change toward the end.
'But really you don't got a clue'

Change Got to Have. it flows more with the poem. otherwise its great. :). 5
