You Rhyme the Freedom in my Poetry

by Sunshine   Apr 25, 2012

I'm half a legend, when I read me, through your words
and half a breeze when I'm called with your voice.
You recreate me into light, from misery to delight
A girl devoid of dreams, into valid dreams of a girl.

A string of forthcoming memories, competing in a race,
it fills up the emptiness I've kept clean within my space.
Unlocking the sheltered rooms that I kept shut firmly,
taking quicker irrational steps, right toward me.

I held my horses still; stopped you, not-
but only when the day grew brighter
and the night got shorter,
when everything went right,
when rhymes became a part
of my free poetry, of me...

only when I enjoyed the simplest things you do,
I knew, I was doubtlessly losing my ground for you.

    I love this completely!

I feel as though you're trying to say that this person you are with makes you want to be a better person (though I think you're marvelous already) Maybe you like the way they see you rather than the way you see yourself. I loved the rhyming of it, it flowed so well and everything just melted into each other. Beautifully writen! I love it!!!

Nana, Never do you fail to amaze me, I found this piece very inspiring, and I felt you were talking to another part of you, a part of you that is loved...

I wasn't sure if this was actually about someone in your life, or metaphorical...
but either way it was beautifully written as always

and the imagery and wording very contrasting and smooth, I loved the gentle rhymes and the way you incorporated them into your style.

    Loved it
