Romantic Catastrophe

by Maple Tree   May 7, 2012

These eyes wave goodbye
to a violet sunset,
magical cruise ship,
and your stone cold
heart-

A secret getaway,
romantic rendezvous,
leaves me with a
bitter taste of
margarita's
and a headache larger
than the captains
wheel-

Conga lines and
suntan oil breeze
through my memories
and those passionate
nights, filled with moon kisses
and things your "Mother
warned you about"-

Sighs-

It was a beautiful vacation,
but I fed my companion
to the sharks, for strangers
have secrets that are better
off getting lost at sea....

I agree^^ you've done an amazing job here. I'm not really into 'romantic' or love poems, but the 'catastrophe' really pulled me in to read this, out of curiosity haha. And I'm glad I did, this is amazing.
