Sleep Tight.

by Just a girl   May 16, 2012

Don't let the silver be your lullaby,
Don't depend on that silencer,
The thoughts inside your head will pass,
Don't let the blade be your pacifier.

Yet, if you must release endorphins
just to hush yourself,
Before you easily push on the skin,
just remember the faces.

The faces yet to exists,
they'll look up at you with innocents..
Asking kindly, with pure curiosity,
"Mommy? How'd you get that booboo?"
