Look at me

Look at me
tell me what you see
do you see a monster
do you see me in pain
in misery

Do you see me happy
do you see me
do you see a happy kid
or a kid who cuts
who thinks about suicide

do I look happy
do I look fine
or am I sad
and a disaster

so tell me
what do you see

    Dear Kelwin, your poem reflects your profile, it is a good poem. I have been there too! I remember wishing to have physical pain in place of the pain of my depression. In my despair I cried out to God, he heard me and delivered me from my sin and pain. I have prayed for you that the Lord will do the same for you!     What do I see? Well Kelwin, I see someone who is looking for someone to notice that he is in pain. Most people don't notice because they are always thinking about themselves and their lives. This is what happened to you most likely. I hope that someday you find someone who notices you, and who will help you get over your pain.

    Good job at expressing your emotions in this poem. The reader can sense despair in your words. You also gave a good impression of how looks can be so deceiving. Great job.
