Why war

by Khalid M Darwish   Jun 14, 2012

A year and a half of year ago,
when it was the end of cold and snow,
I saw the sparks which extremely glow,
when the town was bombed with a painful blow.

Every building was upside down
and the havoc covers the whole town.
Many bodies are scattered everywhere
and the ambulance was not reached anywhere.

Few people were capable to survive,
but the majority were not found alive.
I thank God too much that I'm still alive,
in such situation which is hard to survive.

Nobody even knows who the doer might be,
since everybody was in blood up to his knee.
Women and children in the blow up were killed,
and hospitals with dead and injured were filled.

In that situation I was never fine,
since my friends weren't with me every time.
I am very sad not to be with them every day,
to listen to ideas and stories they say.

I am hopeless not to have them with me over here,
and they became as a part of the past last year.
Our friendship was truly like a treasure,
that we had promised each other to keep forever.

May God bless all of them in that paradise,
with the prophets, martyrs and the good, likewise.
Who knows what's going to happen in the future?
if anyone takes for granted he is a dead creature?
