Volunteer Roaches

by Khalid M Darwish   Jul 6, 2012

A cockroach roaming with a lonely safety
Passing the kitchen as the place owner
With raised chest and confident wishes
But in a moment or in seconds
Saw a nice female of charming beauty
as a lamb lightening the neighborhood
With an eye like a pearl
Then was shocked becoming upside down
As she befell him with her love arrow
He wanted to ask her with shame
Are you an angel or a sewage roach?
Went to her in a horse speed
With a wide smile and excessive hope
But that god damn effective insecticide
Coming out from the vessels
Directing poison towards the dreamers
Leaving them lost facing death
Oh those volunteers
In the front hole of gun
Oh that insecticide, the dreams' killer
