Scurry and Fury

by Maple Tree   Jul 18, 2012

A loner's eye can see the
ant hill-
scurry and fury

when the hill is destroyed
they look to the loner
to help rebuild.

I shake my head sarcastically
smile sweetly, placing piece
by piece, by hand,

then I sit back once again
and watch the chaos
begin again.

You know I feel there could be many different messages to your analogy.. The one I got was, when you get knocked down you get back up again and rebuild was destroyed. Nice message and an interesting way to phrase it :)

This poem makes me think of an ant farm or something that was destroyed and then they try to rebuild. I love that image.

I think that in ant colonies don't they have like a queen ant like a queen bee lol I am not familiar with this in fact it may not even be what the poem is about but it's the first thing that came to my head lol

    Awesome write though :D
