Rainstorm

by ether   Aug 12, 2012

I am the sound of winter
With the smell of spring.
Addicted to your eyes reaction
As I destroy everything.

Ten-thousand footsteps,
A swing of the path,
Your hope won't guide you
Through this kind of dark.

So far out of your reach,
So far beyond any sense;
Danger of heartbeats,
Forget how we met.

This is your warning,
Unresponsive to time.
Don't follow when I wander
Or you'll never be fine.

I speak these words, but
It isn't you that inspires.
It's for the love of destruction
And the death of desires.
