Small Favor

by yogi73   Aug 12, 2012

When asked to do so
Grace often cannot extend, instead
Yielding at known boundaries.
Stretching to assume the form of truth and
Consciousness faltering in a worthy collapse,
Delighting in the pose of a child.

Pausing and hoping to catch a glimpse of
the breath, it unfolds inner and outer space.
An upside-down dog
Transcending from golden to earthly to Shiva,
Striving for universal alignment
But simply seeking.

Ultimate freedom,
The luminous teacher
Promises grace flowing from nature.
Her celebration of the heart leads
Consequences be damned
I follow with a divine luster

Your opening stanza gives such vivid images and I like how you have brought out the meaning or the ways to show "small favor" rather then spelling it all out for the reader...excellent writing!
