Soulboat

Indeed a beautiful, composition that one could sing as a song, if slightly reworded. The analogy of teardrops to the rain, one finite and the other endless (metaphorically), and the message that one wants to give (from the soul) to one's loved one/one's, but cannot easily, is certainly the beauty in this composition.

I took the liberty to reword it and break it in to 2 stanza's so you could sing or string it with your vocal cords or guitar strummings as a sad love song :)

Raindrops are falling
so are my tears
But, only my tears aren't endless
Once dried up
the riverbeds are empty

No longer can my soul boat
set sails to the outside world
The message from my soul
will never reach shores
Forever will it float
between my heart and soul

This is a total Declaration of one's anguish and despair.
the image I've got in my mind is a person lost between his own thoughts not being able to deilver thier message to the outside world
well brother, With writings like this You can reach the darkest of hearts,
I would have love for this poem to have a sequel as I didn't want to stop reading when you finshed.

your soulboat I wonder what it is it just floats on your tears so it seems something sad cause you would be crying so it can get out to the world and be seen but again when u think it over you might be crying out of happiness but I assume u are sad because you can't convey your message to your beloved one so the soulboat is just holding your message and it never came out cause your tears became dry and it have noway out so it is just still floating within you
and i second what Xanthe said it feels like is is somewhere empty between your heart and soul
and that message will never be found

Your soul is sailing.... Allow me to catch my breath here... The elegance of this poem swept me off to the ocean and I felt a sense of abandonment here.. the sorrowful feeling within this heartfelt piece just made me sink into each word written! One of my favorites by you!

Title? SPOT ON! First I thought its a typo or something, but nope you made it really clear that its meant to be written that way.

The comparison between the raindrops and your tears was amazing, but what really broke my heart was you saying that you cannot get your messages to those whom you love. Its hard when people dont get you, especially those who really do mean something in your life.
