For Sale

by Lance Hardy   Sep 5, 2012

I tried to sell my troubles
But no one was buying
If I hold them much longer
I won't just be dying

My heart for just a penny
My soul for just a dime
Bargain prices, nice and cheap
For only a limited time

Donations? Don't be greedy
Mine hardly outweighs yours
Scales tipping so unfavoring
Forcing closed, open doors

Board up the pale windows
Lock up and toss the key
Already trapped without mercy
The reaper will set free

Death is never the best answer. Truth is the outlet through bondage.
