Pardon Me

by LostWords   Sep 8, 2012

Pardon me, do you realize
I'm slipping through your fingers?
Being lowered in a basket
through a splintered window,
falling further away from you.

Pardon me, do you feel
pain spilling across the pages
of the book called my life?
A stain that can't fade away.

Pardon me, do you see
the tears bleeding down my face,
from all the hurried goodbyes?
Unfinished words, here then gone.

Pardon me, Pardon me?
This didn't have to end.

Another job well done! But this line "Falling closer away from you" shouldn't it be falling further away from you?. The ending wasn't gripping to me but that's just my opinion. A wonderful poem with an excellent plot. A lot of good ideas in this poem.
