Jimmy and Janis

by Maple Tree   Sep 8, 2012

Upon a day, singing in the womb
it occurred to me of my mumbling tune,
only years later did I see the true light
of my ageless journey in the darkest of night.

My father; he crafted the angles of rhyme
designing his feelings of loss throughout time,
it's something I strayed from a while ago,
learning the lessons that I already know.

Jimmy and Janis explained it so well-

In each delicate chorus, humming lullabies
whispering truth of war and corrupted spies,
guiding me to the stars in a nightmare song
letting me know the world was wrong.

I sit and listen to the message they left behind
while the world marked them as two souls blind,
I wont let their message go broken and buried,
my pen will speak often of their burden carried.

Andrea, what do you do to me? You make me fall in love with a form of poetry I hate lol freaking amazing...See here is an example of rhymed poetry that is awesome. That is not cliche' , that uses big statements, that makes their poem intriguing. God I loved this...Loved "singing in the womb" hehe amazing..

Totally agree with Ole, it just reminded me of legacies , stories, and advice that people pass down to their family before they day. Nicely done!!

This reminds me of how parents pass down the traits of responsibility to their kids! to each his own method, and through this experience ! we grow up to love and appreciate the people who made us, what we are today!

    5/5, such a warm piece!
