Average

by Thomas   Sep 12, 2012

Straight out of school
Hopes and dreams intact
No job out there for me
cause the economy's bad, that's a fact

But no worries on my mind
I'll still conquer this planet,
make a change and be a hero
just like I said

Time passes on and still no job
Spirit still high but minor doubt
Ideas and dreams still in progress
Although the announcement of it is less loud

Years after, still believing
We're a golden generation!
We're making our mark in history
with a big exclamation!

Fair warning to all these people
No matter how hard you strive
You'll just end up
living an average life

This is so sad you feel this way, I have felt this trapped feeling many times, the economy is so hard right now for everyone and especially people who leave school with no qualifications, they can be so talented but without the marks on paper they are usually unwilling to give you a try.

    Nice write.

Each and everyday of our lives is a lesson learned the harsh way just as you portrayed

You went far with explaining that even on the darkest of hours! One will always hope for the best an at times over achieve or under achieve
And to able to see the world from such a climax can only show that you have seen ups an downs in the years that you've lived
Just like all of us! The trick of this life is to keep breathing
So make sure to keep a hold of that and one day you will be at the top of the world
Very beautifully pinned! I envy you for such rhyming skills btw! 5/5 and this was well worthy of praise friend

I loved your message here very much. It is so awful being in the unemployment line. We go to universities, we study, we dream of changing the world, but eventually... we end up not working in our certificates... living this average life. Many would relate to this. AWesome job, Thomas:)
