Almost Alchemy

by Karla   Sep 16, 2012

Almost Alchemy

I spread my silence over the words,
anticipating whispers and rumors
sighing lost colors as I pull the necessary magic
out of my almost enchanted hat
to recreate meanings.

Instantly,
predicates fall at my feet
insulting my bruised alchemy
and for two airy seconds
I make sense to the clouds and the seagulls.

Love the last line, seagulls have the freedom of oceans, land and sky.
The opening is great, I love a conflicting message.

This deserves more than a 5/5 rating. Incredibly written, I've already read it three times. Probably my favorite one you have written so far.

You've out done yourself yet again. Such a delicate piece but you made it work. Great job 5/5
