Glory of the sky (Loop poetry)

by Dark Secrets   Sep 18, 2012

... And then a canopy of colors exploded,
To end in total darkness

Opera of colors unite
unite in harmony and war
war against each other
other rivals they violently tore

Palling and blending together
together amidst the blue
Blue interrupted by whiteness
Whiteness ripping through the hue

Whites dominated by yellow
Yellow disk of the falling sun
Sun darkening to saffron
Saffron spreading ticklish fun

Feisty red splashing the scene
Scene shifting into chrome
Chrome crossing over fuchsia
Fuchsia scattered within the dome

Dissolving time as the sun drops
Drops of purple start to blur
blur of navy dark, appearing
Appearing among some azure

Alas, the show is ending
ending with a darkened screen
Screen showing 'tis the end
End of beginnings unseen

Was an excellent read. Half the time when I find loop poetry the "looping" just has an off feel to it...but not this one. Also, I was really pleased with the touch of imagery in this poem. Tres Bien.
