I.M.U

by lillie   Sep 21, 2012

Im flying, flying to the place where you reside.
I walk before you, my heart jumps, my arms open nice and wide.
Your gentle eyes warm me with such comfort and glee.
This form of happiness, its exactly how its suppose to be.

We sit on a bench surrounded by the most beautiful colors ive ever seen.
Its not a familiar place, its real private, somewhere I've never been.
"I miss you." my words caress her heart just right,
"I miss you too" she says; "hope you have been alright"

Tears form in a single file, " It hasn't been easy, but we havent spoken in a while"
She spreads her wings, she begins to glow, her eyes look at me with such a smile.

The touch of her hand around me, so gentle and still.
A complete rush of happiness covered me with a special type of chill.

I look up shes gone, and everything begins to disappear.
I see a glowing like figure from afar beginning to appear.
"I LOVE YOU" I scream with each lung.
flashbacks begin to play of us as we were young.

Everything goes foggy, my eyes open, i smile.
It was but a dream, always a memory never forgotten.

I close my eyes and there you are in the center of my heart. Forever and always.

* This poem was written in memory of a dear friend I lost this year, I miss her very much. Her memories keep me smiling. I love you bb girl R.I.P *

    I liked it a lot.
Yes, stay strong, they never really leave us just watch us from afar.
You will see your friend again one day, count on it.
