Bravo

by Maple Tree   Sep 24, 2012

She wore red galoshes,
as rain drops became her
backup singers,
sweetly crooning a tune
of Mary and her lamb.

Jumping beans in her pocket
ignited a monotone
percussion,
creatively conducting
a bravo performance.

Umbrella of Polka dots
twirled in unison
with her tiny little hands,
as I, the audience,
rose to a standing
ovation outside my
kitchen window.

I'll always be her
biggest fan,
as years go by
she continues
to impress me
in a silent,
peaceful
encore...

I have read this yesterday, and now I'm here to comment. I actually don't think it's about a ladybug. Or is it? I think it's about your daughter putting on a school performance? That was a beautiful piece. It was described and narrated simultaneously beautifully!

    Well-done!!!!

Yes A ladybird but....OMG you brought back some funny memories to my mind with this one....My sister and I were in Bali a few years ago and we were waiting in line to go to the loo...this Japanese visitor was up doing karaokee (spl?) so we decided to be his backing dancers while we were waiting our turn...OMG...the guy was aweful but our dance moves were brilliant (in our minds at least)....OMG..what a laugh....
