Always (Ottava Rima)

by Dark Secrets   Sep 30, 2012

She sat her withered self beside his chair,
tenderly held his wrinkled hand in hers,
watched him smile boyishly, lovingly stare
Gesturing, as her heart willfully answers,
forming whispers crawling softly and bare,
only understood by cuddling lovers
Passionate words left her lips in a hurry,
like an eager teen, haste for life they scurry

Her voice still trembles, as shy as she is,
as her caring hands shake so nervously,
under the warmth and stability of his
and their cheeks blossom into rose, naturally
After years so many went by with a whizz,
their eyes still twinkled when they crossed chancily
For their love, like a first date, felt new-found
renewed by the meeting of their eyes now bound

I just loved your progression in this beautiful piece. Innocently weaved from one line to the other. Describing the scenario very vividly, strong imagery going on here. You describe every detail in such a poetic way without narrations.

I'm not familiar with this form but you nailed it exceptionally. First dates are quiet memorable but can fade away with time but never forgotten. Let me be emphtaic on what really streaked me. I admired how you painted the innocence of these teens, possibly.

Lovely, lovely, lovely. Welldone dear. *hugs* :-) ..
