The Lovers Guards

by LoveableKirsty   Oct 1, 2012

As the Rose bud grows silently in the somber of the night, the petals slowly expand their beauty...

Bursting out, Stretching in length, Vivid colors now appear....

DEEP RED...

The color of blood rushes up to fill in the velvety petals so gentle to the touch

As the Rose unravels its spiraling beauty, it begins to reveal its clever design

This Rose so unique.... One of a kind...

Pleasing to the eyes, yet painful to the touch...

Guarded by thorns, this ironic beauty baffels the mind...

The thorns guard its breathtaking blossom like a lover guarding her heart...

One false move will result in lasting pain, but a gentle carefully planned out step will grant you the respect of the guards...

For they will bow down in honor of you....

Revealing the reward of the lustfully blood stained rose of a lovers heart...

Great write Kirsty, I love the metaphorical links you have made between the rose and a lover. You have used many captivating descriptions which allow he reader into your thoughts and create for us a visual image through the words You composed.
You have lured me in with The caps reinforcing strong emotions.
I found that the ending was a great finish and a strong one that makes the reader think wow!
    Loved the read
    5.5 from me
