Break Down

She dances with demons,
as the scissors cut slow...ly,
her thoughts are not of
coupons, but redemption.

People assume shes happy,
but I know the darkness
that ways heavily within
her tiny skeletal frame,
shes on a landslide,
falling, crashing is
inevitable.

I want to reach out
and embrace her
scattered heart,
but the walls are
designed to protect,
not to let the ones
like me inside...

So I'll stand in the
corner and wait,

she's going to crash soon,
and I'll be there to help
put the pieces back together.

    Maple, this was so powerful. I loved this because you could tell by your writing here that you have written from experience, but also aiming this at another person close to you because of th instincts you have felt towards them.

    This was amazing and I loved it. It is in the sadness section because of what it contains, but it also holds a abit of hope and friendship with your promise to be there. One day you will make the promise to be there for yourself instead of only others.

    Soooo sad, and I can say you're a sweet women, you crashed one, but you dont want that women to crash, cause you know its going to be hard on her...
