Against Your Touch

by Meme   Oct 30, 2012

Last night I was brave enough to
rest my burdened head against
your lap. You asked me to shut
the world out and only listen to
the soothing sounds of silence.

I felt your hand hovering over
my face but not a single touch
you attempted to have. Until I
felt the pressure of your indexes
against the veins of my temples.

You hummed words in my ears
that made my trembling breaths
halt for a while, then you sighed
taking a gulp of air, and I knew
you were just as breathless as I.

Home is who you are to me; a
safe haven that I found leaning
back on you. You erased eons of
pain strands mingled in my hair
with a touch of your fingertips.

Awww what a precious moment of someone calming you down. Ridding your headache. This moment really gives a romantic vibe even if its not intended to be romantic...I just feel a connection between two people, one supporting the others hard day...seriously precious Meme.
