Everlasting Sand

by Blood of a Lion   Nov 6, 2012

The sands so distant, like waves they appear shimmering through all time.
Then is not love the very fabric of this entanglement?
Like waves in time that slowly bend an ancient rock.
So does your everlasting love against my walls.
A smell of salt so begotten in cruel stagnant breeze that it ne'er dares to bring forth the cisterns tears.
A cool breeze and the fingers of the distance sun's touch, oh so warm and cool, a radiant glow.
Let thou be forever the one who sits upon the very waves and water of time.
The distant sand, so great, so grand and so the angel's door does slam.
A suitor so wooed, is it so?
Or does thy heart again tell a lie?
Will it be so grand a mystery on the eve of acknowledgement towards the ever burning desire of one so beautiful as the everlasting sand?
Or again is it a mirage of thy beating heart?

Oh angel,

Oh muse,

Play the strings for the sand, and remember the burning pain,
So distant and forlorn,
The heart it yearns for ones such touch.
And so aye, I dare it to be so, that ones true love may stand the test of time just as everlasting sand.

    For the Sand?

Nice title, I wonder why you chose sand...

is it because sand slips through the hands? So it will be a challenge of time to see if it can stay there?

I'm a bit lost at the symbolism in this piece, but I like how it sounds when I read it.

There are some parts that seem to make sense, but haha you are right, we both wrote about sand and the ocean. Weird.

I'll come back to read it though, and see if I can understand it.
