Snow Shower

by Maple Tree   Nov 6, 2012

Have you ever sat into the mind
of a decayed flower?

Please have a seat,
relax while I soothe
your skin with ink stains,
drown your sorrows
into twisted pools of
reincarnation.

Effortlessly, I am the truth
of a hidden disease,
forked tongued demon
pleasing the pleasurable.

Dying in truth,
ready for fantasy,
meet me on the other side,
I'm finished here.

Have you ever sat into the mind
    of a decayed flower?

    - do you know something, with this question I just knew this was going to be a deep poem which would take me on a journey of my own emotions. I could sense the raw pain in the heart right from this starting line.

    Please have a seat,
    relax while I soothe
    your skin with ink stains,
    drown your sorrows
    into twisted pools of
    reincarnation.

-this holds such powerful imagery, I imagine the skin being the petals and how they are stained with ink, damaged and scarred through their sorrow.

    Effortlessly, I am the truth
    of a hidden disease,
    forked tongued demon
    pleasing the pleasurable.

    - the word effortlessly stands out here because it shows how simple it is that this is what it is like, there is no question of it, just black and white. Your wording is very poetic here in the end and is like a bit of a tongue twister too. The diesease you mention could be anything depedning on what you want to relate to, but either one you pick I am sure this would fit the description of the affects is has on us.

    Dying in truth,
    ready for fantasy,
meet me on the other side,
    I'm finished here.

    - This is a sad ending because it is like facing the ultimate truth of the end, and choosing to be ready for it but not because you want to but because you feel defeated by it and no longer feel any hope.

I can tell this was written on your darker day rather than brighter day, but I could also imagine the opposite version of this poem from you? from your brighter days.

    Nice work

This is probably one of the darkest pieces I have read from you, and yet you still make it beautiful and add some form of nature...
yet the sadness here is overwhelming and it breaks my heart to read it, for you are such a sweet and kind person, bad things shouldn't happen to the good people...

The whole poem just oozed that style that you have, to capture the reader and make them feel exactly what you want them to.

    AMAZING
