Conversations in the Dark

by Maple Tree   Nov 10, 2012

Why do you tolerate
the loony collaborations
of my spirited humor?

Because I love you...

You realize my clumsiness
will become routine,
and I'll be a walking
nightmare?

I'll pick you up, and smile...

If I whisper goodbye
before you, will you be ok?

No - he shares in a sigh,
because your my wife, my soul mate
and my friend, if you go,
I'll die along with you..

Darling-
I will never leave you,
for we have a love that
is eternal,
just rest by the tree,
and I will wipe your tears
away........

Seriously outstanding MT... True love is inconditional and you can be you in it... Freedom of being ourselves we say....!
You brought this up beautifully and truly amazing:)

I dunno whether Im in tears, or my eyes are trying to fool me. This poem is sooooo heartbreaking.
The idea of the conversation made the emotions flow more, and sadness appeal to the reader more.

    Just great poem:)
