Our Maple Tree

by Khalid M Darwish   Nov 23, 2012

How may I describe your sweetness?
My tree that bears all dens and nests,
on branches speaking of happiness
swaying with love where robin rests

You, the favorite poet of mine
Stay as you are, shining my way
I'll write your name in every line,
as far as you won't be away

YOU, the most adorable friend
How can I forget your best day
when you reach your utmost commend?
It's your celebration today

You were born in the summertime
but you've the four-season verve
I wrote you these words with this rhyme
I won't buffet what you deserve

For our Maple Tree, the sweet and most adorable friend for her poem no. 400, with love.

This is the first rhyming poem I've seen of yours. A lovely dedication, executed very well.

Beautiful I don't want to just say that but I'm lost for words beyond that. It is pure beauty.

    Aww

"My tree that bears all dens and nests,
    on branches speaking of happiness
swaying with love where robin rests"

^I absolutely love this line! How it describes a tree yet describes Andrea, how warm and beautiful she is. I know when I first joined this site she made me feel at home.

Khalid, this is a very lovely poem.

Well done with the rhymes, and also this was a beautiful poem about maple tree.

I like the part where it says that robin rest in the branches.
