Camouflauge

by Chelsey   Nov 26, 2012

There is no peace in my resting state. No comfort
that tells my body to shut down, relax, surrender
to the massage sleep brings to our muscles.

I am awake in unconscious hours because my
mind races to a finish line that wasn't created,
expecting to find you there.

Your appearance must be camouflaged against
fate. I can't seem to find nor reach it. Yet,
I know that is where you take shelter.

I am no hunter so please don't let these guns
fool you. I do not wish to take your life, I'm
just trying to protect mine while looking for you.

Can't you see my desperation? My search
is leading me in the right direction, but I'll never
grasp you if you're invisible.

Sometimes people hide from us, out of fear of the unknown, fear of rejection, hurt, many many things, and if there is one thing that we must remember it is that everyone is human, and fear is a natural reaction to something new.

You write so amazingly and this piece was no exception, I wish I could leave a better comment my sweets because this deserved it, at the moment, I am a little lost for words.

    Love ya girl
